Respiratory tract irritation – Work accident compensation claim
A cook, our client had repeatedly had her concerns regarding extraction equipment ignored. After many years of exposure to excess levels of dust, she has developed a persistent cough that has been diagnosed as a respiratory tract irritation. The defendant’s insurers refused to negotiate a settlement and Alison was forced to issue court proceedings. Mesothelioma - Asbestos-related compensation claim
Our client had been a skilled tradesman working for the same construction company for most of his working life. He had been exposed to asbestos on a regular basis during refurbishment work at schools and other public buildings. Shortly after he retired, he began to suffer breathing difficulties and after extensive tests and scans was eventually diagnosed as suffering from asbestos-related mesothelioma. The disease has no cure and is always fatal.
