Asbestos Victims Compensation Victory

Former employees of Turner and Newall and their family members have voted in favour for a proposal detailing a compensation payout procedure. Many employees have died and countless numbers of other employees suffer from industrial diseases such as asbestosis and mesothelioma as a result of asbestos exposure after working in Turner and Newall factories.

Ian McFall, head of the asbestos litigation team for Clear Answers' lawyers Thompsons Solicitors said: "This is the end of a long and difficult road for claimants who have had five years of stalemate and inertia. It is the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. While it is unlikely that any claimant will receive full compensation, it nevertheless brings to an end the uncertainty for many families. We expect first payments to start in early 2007 and to continue throughout the year."

Compensation Claim

Clear Answers' lawyers specialising in mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases are able to offer further guidance on likely damages to anyone suffering from an asbestos-related illness, to the families of sufferers, or to anyone who suspects that they or a member of their family may be suffering from, or may have suffered from a work-related asbestos disease.
