Care worker compensated after injury at work

A mental health support worker who suffered an accident at work has secured compensation with the help of our specialist personal injury lawyers.

Our client was at a patient’s home when she tripped and fell due to the poor lighting at the property. Her colleagues had previously raised concerns with their employer, a home care support agency, about the lack of lighting but the complaints had not been addressed.

The woman suffered a sprain injury to her back, which resulted in stiffness and pain, and left her unable to return to work for five days. A doctor prescribed her with a course of physiotherapy and estimated that it would take her a year to fully recover from her back injury.

After her accident, the woman contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors who pursued a compensation claim on her behalf. Her employer admitted liability for her injuries and we secured full compensation on her behalf.
