Compensation for client who suffers from mesothelioma

He developed symptoms of mesothelioma in November 2006. There is no cure for the cancer of the lining of the lung and many sufferers die within months of diagnosis.

Exposed to Asbestos

British Railways admitted they were negligent in exposing him to asbestos and agreed to pay the compensation.

Head of asbestos policy at Thompsons Solicitors, Ian McFall said: “Like many other men he was exposed to asbestos while carrying out a hard day’s work.

”He wanted the reassurance of knowing that the case was finalised during his lifetime and I’m pleased that we achieved that for him.

“Mesothelioma is a devastating disease and it is only right that people who develop it are fully and fairly compensated”.
