Compensation awarded to painter after fall from ladder

A man was compensated after he sustained injuries after falling from a ladder at work.

When he was descending the ladder, his foot became caught due to some scaffolding boards that had been left propped up against the ladder. He lost his footing and fell 20 feet to the ground.

As a result of the fall, he suffered fractures to his left foot and ribs, and skin damage which resulted in minor scarring. He had to take nine weeks off work, before making a full recovery.
After contacting our accident at work team, he was awarded damages for his injuries.
