Customer awarded compensation after fall at restaurant

A woman has successfully pursued a compensation claim after she slipped and fell at a local restaurant.

An employee had left behind surface water after mopping the floor, but failed to place the appropriate warning signs to alert customers to the hazard. Our client slipped on the water and fell, causing soft tissue damage to her back and cuts and bruises to her left shin.

In pain, she attended the Accident and Emergency department where she was checked over.

The restaurant admitted liability after recognising that it was their duty to ensure a safe environment for their customers.
