Delivery driver traps finger in broken cage

A delivery driver has successfully pursued a personal injury claim having injured his finger while unloading goods from a damaged cage.

Our client was delivering goods to a supermarket when the door of the damaged cage swung open and caused his finger to become trapped. The driver had to visit hospital and have an x-ray to assess the extent of the damage suffered.

He was forced to wear a sheath over his injured finger for two weeks after the incident and was forced to miss some overtime. He was unable to take part in his usual rugby training in his spare time during the healing period and now suffers from a degree of permanent numbness to his finger.

Following the incident, the driver contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors and was awarded full compensation after his employer admitted liability.
