Hotel customer wins compensation after shower slip

A routine shower ended in an injury for a hotel customer who has since been awarded compensation after contacting our personal injury specialists.

The slip and fall caused the man to hit his right leg and suffer injuries to his right buttock and lower back. The bath, where the shower was located, had nothing to prevent slippage and was without a bath mat. Following the fall he was diagnosed with soft tissue injuries to his lower back alongside a friction burn to his right buttock which could scar.

The injury to his lower back required a number of sessions of physiotherapy with a recovery period of seven months.

Although the hotel accepted liability it was not until our lawyers began court proceedings that they decided to settle the case. Compensation was awarded, some of which will go towards the cost of physiotherapy.
