Retail store employee struck by wooden panel

Our client was a retail store employee who was injured when she was struck by a heavy wooden panel.

She was wheeling a trolley full of food into the cold room of the store when the loose wooden panel fell from above and struck her on her breast, before toppling onto her right hand.

Painful swelling and bruising

Our client suffered painful swelling and bruising, as well as a laceration to her hand which exacerbated pre-existing medical conditions.

Following the accident, she contacted our specialist personal injury lawyers who were able to secure her compensation after her employers admitted liability for her injuries.

She has since made a full recovery from her injuries and actions have since been taken in her store to prevent a similar accident occurring in the future.
