Slipping Accident in the House of Commons

The claimant was involved in a slipping accident at work; he slipped and injured himself after slipping on some coffee that had not been cleaned up in a stairway at the House of Commons.

It was argued that the spillage could only have come from another employee as they are the only people who have access to the stairs.

The accident claim was brought on the grounds of vicarious liability due to negligence on behalf of the unknown employee.
