Whiplash compensation claim for bus driver in road accident

Our client in this road traffic accident was a bus driver. At the time of the accident, he was on duty and his vehicle was stationary as he allowed passengers to board the bus. Without warning, the defendant’s vehicle hit the rear of the bus with force, giving our client no chance to brace himself for the impact.

Whiplash compensation claim for driver injured in hit and run accident

Whilst waiting in queuing stationary traffic to make a right turn, our client’s vehicle was hit in the rear by another vehicle. Although the other driver initially made as if to stop, he actually drove off without exchanging information.

Fortunately, for our client, the police were able to trace the other driver and charged him with failing to stop at the scene of an accident. His insurance company quickly admitted liability and our specialist road accident compensation lawyers were able to negotiate over £2,000 in whiplash compensation.

Before the date of the trial however, we were then able to negotiate over £20,000 in road accident compensation for our client.

HSE – Myth of securing loads for transporting

In 2010 the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reported that more than 1200 people are injured each year as a direct result of unsafe loads. They suggest that many drivers believe that if they are only taking a load a short distance, there is no need to secure it.

Rear car passenger receives road accident compensation

When our client in this road accident compensation claim was injured, she was only a minor. As a rear seat passenger, she had been put in the position of travelling with too many passengers for the car and forced to share a seatbelt. Had she not been using any seatbelt at all, her injuries could have been even worse. In spite of that, she still suffered serious and life-changing injuries.

Our specialist road traffic accident lawyers were able to secure substantial road accident compensation for our client’s injuries, though this will never fully compensate her for having the real possibility of a lucrative and high-profile career cruelly crushed.

Front seat passenger receives road accident compensation

Our specialist road traffic accident lawyers were able to secure substantial compensation for this client who was injured when the car in which she was travelling collided with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

Although the defendant admitted liability, we recommended rejection of several offers before they made an offer that we believed was appropriate for our client's injuries and loss of earnings during her recovery.
