Man receives compensation after accident at work

Severe lacerations to hand and unable to work

A man who sustained an injury at work in a motor depot has successfully pursued a claim for compensation with the help of our specialist personal injury lawyers.

The motor depot had been damaged by a tidal surge and our client was tasked with performing maintenance work to repair parts of the building.

Our client was not given the necessary training, supervision or safety equipment to carry out the maintenance work and as a result, ended up with a deep laceration on one of his hands.

Deep laceration to hand and unable to work

There were no first aid kits on the premises so our client was taken to hospital for treatment following his injury. He received stiches and was told it would take up to five months for his injury to fully heal, during which time he was required to take time off work to recover.

We gathered medical evidence to support our client's personal injury claim and his employers admitted liability for the accident. Full compensation for our client's injuries was secured.
