Compensation awarded to woman who lacerated thumb

A woman has been awarded compensation after injuring her thumb whilst entering a public park.
Our client was opening the latch on a park gate when a rusty piece of metal cut her thumb through to the bone.

She immediately went to a local hospital where the wound was cleaned and dressed before she was referred for surgery.

Our client was forced to take a number of weeks off work and required help from friends and family around the house. She also experienced decreased sensation in her thumb for two years after the incident.

After contacting our specialist personal injury solicitors she was awarded compensation for her injury.
