Compensation awarded to dog walker who slipped over raised ledge

A man walking his dog in his local park was awarded a compensation package after slipping over an obstruction on the path.

The man and his dog were walking on a path around Lincoln Castle when he slipped over a raised ledge. He fell sideways and he hit the floor with the right knee.

Since the path was cracked and sunken, a ledge of about six inches protruded from the ground. The local council knew about the path's state of disrepair but had not addressed the issue.

After contacting our specialist personal injury solicitors, he was awarded a settlement for his injuries.
