Cycle accident compensation for broken bones

When the hit and run driver of a delivery lorry could not be traced, despite knowing the name of the company, our specialist road accident compensation lawyers began the process of making a claim for compensation against the MIB (Motor Insurers Bureau) on behalf of this client. Although the company was known, they refused to accept liability for our client's cycling accident for some time.

However, through strong negotiation by our lawyers, and pressure from the MIB, we were eventually able to secure a five-figure sum from the lorry driver's employer, after advising our client to reject two initial unsatisfactory offers.

Knocked off cycle by large delivery lorry

Our client was overtaken by a delivery lorry but the driver failed to allow sufficient distance before pulling back into the lane, knocking him off his bike. Unfortunately, our client was unable to take note of the registration number of the lorry, but with the help of police investigations we were able to trace the company involved, though not the identity of the driver, who had failed to stop.

Cycle accident injuries

Our client suffered a number of broken bones as well as soft tissue injury and lacerations to his body. As a result of these cycling injuries, our client was absent from work for some time, and was in considerable pain for many weeks. When he did return, he was only able to carry out light duties for several weeks.
