Delivery driver awarded compensation after fall at work

A delivery driver has been awarded compensation after he tripped in a pothole in the car park at work.

The pothole, which had been left unfilled, caused him to trip and fall while getting out of his delivery van. He was attended to by the onsite first aider before being admitted to his local A&E unit where he was diagnosed with a serious sprain. He had to take three weeks off work to recover.

Our personal injury specialists investigated a compensation claim and his employer admitted full liability for the accident after recognising that they had failed to maintain safe working conditions. Our client was awarded compensation for the injury and the time he had to take off work to recover.
