Falling door causes workplace injury

A workplace injury caused by a falling door has led to a successful compensation claim after our client contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors for advice.

Our client was walking into her workplace when - on opening the door - it came off its hinges, falling heavily and causing her to sprain her wrist.

Following the injury, she received treatment at a minor injuries unit where her wrist was strapped and she was prescribed painkillers and anti-inflammatories. The injury forced her to take three days off work after which she returned on lighter duties, preventing her from working overtime. She made a full recovery after 5 months.

After contacting our specialist personal injury solicitors she was awarded compensation which included recovering her loss of earnings as well as what she would have earnt as overtime.
