Fire alarm engineer awarded compensation following injury at work

An engineer has settled his claim for compensation after an injury at work left him with visible scarring.

While fitting a fire suppression system, an exposed wire gave him an electric shock causing second degree burns to his right arm. After the injury, he was taken to hospital and later seen by his GP to treat the burns. Six weeks later the burns had healed but left a visible scar on his right arm.

The main contractors that he was working for admitted liability as they had allowed a sub-contractor into an unsafe work environment. With the help of our accident at work specialists, he was able to secure compensation.
