Leg laceration suffered while undertaking course at service station

Our client has successfully pursued a personal injury compensation claim after being injured at a training course they were attending for work.

The course was taking place at an M1 service station. An electrician working on the site had wrongly left a set of broken lighting tubes in the area where the training was taking place. Our client was walking past and suffered a laceration to his leg. He was taken to A&E for treatment and given an injection to prevent infection.

During recovery - where the laceration took over two months to heal - our client was forced to take time off work and was unable to take part in his usual sporting activities. He has been left with a permanent scar.

Following the incident, he contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors and was awarded full compensation after the people at fault accepted liability for the accident.
