Man compensated after accident at neighbour's home

A man has successfully pursued a claim of compensation after he was injured in an accident at his neighbour's home.

Our client had agreed to help his neighbour remove items from his loft in preparation for a conversion.

Our client was standing at the bottom of the ladder while his neighbour passed him items from the loft through an access hatch above him.

Permanent scar

The neighbour was passing a coffee table down through the access hatch when the removable glass panel - which formed the top of the table - came loose and hit our client on the bridge of his nose in between his eyes.

Our client suffered a painful injury including a wound on the bridge of his nose which took three weeks to close before leaving him with a permanent scar. He also experienced dizziness for a day following the accident.

Following the accident, he contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors who pursued a claim of compensation on his behalf. The neighbour quickly admitted liability for the accident and his injury and compensation was secured for our client.
