Worker suffers serious hand injuries in an accident at work

We represented this client following his accident at work, during which he suffered serious injuries to his hand that required the amputation of two fingers. His employers admitted liability but we advised our client to reject an initial offer, which did not fully compensate him for his traumatic, long-term injuries.

Following extensive and robust negotiation, during which time we were able to secure an interim payment for our client, our specialist work accident compensation lawyers were able to secure a substantial six figure sum for our client.

Hand injuries at work

Our client was involved in an accident at work whilst assisting a workmate to repair a company vehicle. His hand became trapped and caused such extensive injuries that doctors had no option but to amputate two of his fingers. He also underwent several further operations during his recovery but still suffers pain and sensitivity, as well as some restricted movement.

As a result of this hand injury, our client was only able to return to work on a phased basis, but eventually hopes to return to full-time work.
