Sheet metal worker receives compensation after fall at work

A sheet metal worker, who was injured after tripping over a discarded metal object, contacted our specialist personal injury lawyers to pursue a compensation claim.

Our client was performing routine tasks when she tripped over an iron rail bar which had been left there by one of her colleagues.

Unable to work for six weeks

Our client's well-being was directly affected following the accident as she had to take six weeks off work due to considerable bruising around her foot. The injury limited her mobility and everyday tasks were impossible for the immediate four weeks after the accident.

Medical experts estimated that her residual symptoms could last up to 14 months post-accident.

Her employer admitted liability at the end of the pre-action protocol period and the claim was settled on the basis that the claimant would recover within the estimated time period.
