Teacher injured after slip at school

A teacher has successfully pursued a compensation claim after being injured in an accident at work.

Our client was walking along a corridor at school when he trod on carpet saturated with water which had been spilt by cleaners that morning. The water covered the bottom of his shoes and when he walked onto the smooth floor he slipped and fell.

The fall resulted in a fracture to his left knee and the acceleration of a pre-existing soft tissue injury. Our client had to go to A & E on account of his injuries.

Following the accident, he contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors who investigated a compensation claim on his behalf. The school admitted liability for the accident and his injuries and compensation was secured for our client.
