Warehouse assistant compensated after injury at work

A warehouse assistant has successfully pursued a compensation claim after he was injured in an accident at work.

Our client was walking backwards while carrying a box of aluminium sheets with a colleague when he tripped over an item on the floor which he could not see. He fell and dropped the box, which landed on to his right hand.

He suffered a partial traumatic amputation to the little finger on his right hand, as well as a fracture to his ring finger and a crush injury to the middle finger. As a result of the accident, he was unable to work for eight weeks and has a slight permanent deformity in his ring finger.

Following the accident, the man contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors who investigated a compensation claim on his behalf. His employer admitted liability for the accident and compensation was secured for our client.
