Work accident compensation for head injury victim

A team leader in a manufacturing environment, our client in this work accident compensation claim, had been hit on the head by a large metal object. Our client was standing at the edge of the factory floor, when the metal object fell several feet, knocking him out.

His injuries caused significant long-term problems for his employment and well-being and our specialist work accident lawyers were able to secure substantial compensation for the effects of this injury.

Head and brain injury

Our client was taken to hospital where his open head wound was treated. However, he was also suffering from neck pains, headaches and chest pain. Some weeks after the work accident he underwent an X-ray and was advised that there was no fracture. However, he continued to suffer from headaches, was unable to sleep and suffered severe mood swings.

Although he eventually returned to full-time employment, he continued to be at a disadvantage as his physical condition meant that he was unable to operate all of the equipment in use at the factory, thereby limiting his flexibility in the work environment.

Liability for work accident admitted by the defendant

The defendant, our client's employer, had admitted liability for his work accident and injuries. Our specialist work accident lawyers then entered into strong negotiation with the other side's insurers and were able to secure substantial work accident compensation, without the need to issue court proceedings.
