Successful compensation claims

Below is just a small sample of the many successful claims for compensation that Jon handles each year.

Work accident compensation claim - Amputation by unguarded machine

Jon's client in this work accident caught his hand in an unguarded belt on a machine at work. He suffered an amputation of his little finger and injury to 2 fingers of the same hand and has been left with considerable disability.

The defendant refused to negotiate an acceptable sum in work accident compensation, so Jon had no alternative but to issue Court proceedings. However, before the trial, Jon was able to negotiate £200,000 in work accident compensation for his client.

Road accident compensation claim - Cycling accident

A successful, self-employed businessman, was forced to close his business and seek a change of career following this road accident. Jon's client was seriously injured in a cycling accident when he was knocked off his bicycle.

Jon was able to negotiate more than a quarter of a million pounds in road accident compensation for his client, though not before he was forced to issue court proceedings. The defendant refused to negotiate an acceptable sum in road accident compensation.

Occupational disease compensation claim - Ear infection

Jon's client in this claim for occupational disease compensation had developed an ear infection through the use of second-hand earphones. During her 2 day training session she was given a used pair of earphones to do the job, from which she developed an ear infection. She subsequently developed permanent tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

Jon was forced to issue court proceedings but was able to secure occupational disease compensation for his client just before trial. Previously, the defendant had refused to negotiate an acceptable sum in work accident compensation.

Road accident compensation claim - Pedestrian injured

Jon secured substantial road accident compensation for this client, an elderly woman, when she was knocked down in a car park. During a trip to the shops she was knocked down and suffered a fractured hip and other injuries. Jon secured £9,000 in road accident compensation through negotiation with the defendant and their insurers.
