Successful road accident claim for head-on crash

The other driver lost control of his vehicle and veered across the road, directly into the path of our client, who had no opportunity to avoid the collision. Hit head-on, the force of the impact caused our client’s vehicle to swerve off the road, dropping down an embankment and hitting a tree where it came to rest.

HGV driver awarded road traffic accident compensation

An HGV driver for many years, our client asked for our advice on making an accident compensation claim after he was injured in a road traffic accident.

Although he was able to return to his depot immediately following the road traffic accident, it was clear that he was not well and he was immediately sent to hospital in an ambulance, where he was diagnosed with concussion and whiplash injuries.

Shortly before the trial date, we were able to secure £18,000 in road traffic accident compensation for our client’s injuries and his reduced income as a result of his wanting to stop driving HGV’s.

Road traffic accident compensation for whiplash victim

When our client’s vehicle was hit from behind whilst she was stationary, she suffered whiplash injuries that were to prove extensive and take a considerable time to heal. At the time of her road traffic accident compensation award, she was still unable to return to work and had undergone surgery to correct torn ligaments in her shoulder.

Our specialist road accident lawyers were forced to issue court proceedings and the defendant subsequently admitted liability for her whiplash injuries. We were able to negotiate over £20,000 in personal injury compensation for our client’s ongoing pain and discomfort.
